Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Fallbrook near Roadway Inn
Fallbrook, CA — A fatal collision on Mission Road near the Roadway Inn on Tuesday has left a 68-year-old man dead.
According to reports, the man was crossing the street around 6:30 pm when an SUV hit him.
Medical responders performed CPR on the victim when they arrived. The man was then transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead around 8:00 pm.
The driver of the SUV stopped after he had struck the man and cooperated with authorities. Drugs and alcohol were not involved.
The lanes on Mission Road closed so that authorities could investigate the scene. They re-opened around 10:00 pm.
