Plane Crashes on I-15 Freeway In Fallbrook, CA Killing One and Injuring Others on Saturday
Are you out of work because a careless driver was distracted by eating lunch and rear-ended your vehicle? Is your child suffering from physical injuries because a reckless driver decided to ignore the speed limit and caused a crash? Have you lost a loved one because someone decided to drive home after a night of drinking at a bar? If you or a loved one is suffering because of another driver’s poor driving decisions, the lawyers for auto accidents at The Levinson Law Group can help.
It is an extremely tragic story that has its beginning a few years ago. The section of Interstate 5 in question has been the site of several emergency airplane landings in the past; however, this is the second time this specific airplane has crash landed on the section of interstate about 60 miles north of San Diego.
The plane was owned by Matt Nokes, a major league catcher, in February of 2000 when Nokes made an emergency landing on I-15 after his engine stopped. Nokes was able to make a safe landing and guide the plane off the major roadway without incident or injury. Sadly, this is not the case in the current plane crash.
The plane, a Lancair IV, crashed and skidded over 200 feet before colliding with a passenger vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the road near Fallbrook in San Diego County. The pilot and passenger of the airplane suffered major injuries as did the driver and two passengers in the Nissan Altima. Tragically, one passenger of the vehicle did not survive her injuries. Antoinette Isbelle of San Diego was sitting in the back seat with the plane crashed into the rear of the vehicle causing the rear bumper to be forced almost into the rear back seat. Ms. Isbelle did not survive her injuries.
Gordon Levinson and the entire staff of The Levinson Law Group extend our sincere condolences to the family of Ms. Isbelle. We also pray for the continued recovery of all victims in this terrible crash between a plane and a car.
Grief and Shock Following a Tragic Accident and Death
We cannot even begin to imagine what the families are going through as they mourn the loss of their loved one and they tend to their injured loved ones. The grief and shock following an accident of this type can be overwhelming. Of course, the first and most important priority is to continue seeking expert medical attention for the crash victims. This also includes treatment for emotional and mental anguish and stress including but not limited to depression, extreme guilt, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other emotional injuries that are often associated with a tragic accident.
