The Levinson Law Group Arranges Support Grant for MADD San Diego

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is a nonprofit organization founded in the 1980s to prevent drunk driving, support those affected by drunk driving, prevent underage drinking, and support stricter impaired driving policies. Since its inception, MADD has made considerable strides in working towards its goals; however, drunk driving remains a huge issue. In 2015 alone, more than 10,000 people died in drunk driving crashes, and another 290,000 were injured. Until these injuries and wrongful deaths become almost nonexistent, MADD will continue to work towards a better future.

Levinson Law Group’s Gordon Levinson is a Director of the Max and Anna Levinson Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to charitable giving and social justice. Recently, Gordon Levinson caused the Levinson Foundation to contribute $5,500 as general support to the MADD chapter in San Diego. This money will be used toward a grant in support of MADD San Diego’s Walk like MADD 2017 walk-a-thon.

Walk Like MADD will take place on November 4, 2017, and is intended to raise awareness of the drunk driving problem. Thousands of people in more than 60 cities around the country will participate in these 5k walks to eliminate drunk driving from the roadways. The event will begin at 7 a.m. and end at 11 a.m. at the NTC Park / Liberty Station.
