Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident in Lincoln Park
San Diego, CA — A woman died early Monday morning after a vehicle struck her on Euclid Avenue.
The accident happened after 3:45 AM when Gloria Williams, 62, was heading north in the fast lane in her motorized wheelchair. A vehicle traveling in the same lane hit her from behind.
After the vehicle truck Williams, it fled. Police have not found the driver or vehicle.
According to reports, witnesses and medics tried to aid Williams after the crash. However, she died before an ambulance could take her to a hospital.
Euclid Avenue shut down in both directions between Imperial Avenue and Castana Street for the investigation.
The road re-opened several hours later.
