Rollover Crash in Granite Hills Kills 46-Year-Old Driver
El Cajon, CA (1/27/2020) – A 46-year-old driver died this past Monday after he crashed his truck into an embankment outside the Granite Hills neighborhood. The accident occurred at around 8:50 a.m. on La Cresta Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, the driver lost control of his 2016 Dodge Ram while traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. The truck went off of the south side of the street near Forester Creek Road, tumbled down an embankment, and hit a large rock.
The driver died at the scene of the accident. His name has not yet been released. Troopers say that the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. It is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
