Police Looking for Two Vehicles After Deadly Hit-And-Run

Two vehicles hit a pedestrian near Vista and left before police officers could investigate. The crash left a man lying in the road with fatal wounds.

The victim was a 60-year-old man, hit in the middle of Melrose Drive and W. Vista Way. Officials believe the man was struck by two vehicles around 4:30 a.m.

The first vehicle was a Dodge pickup truck that was damaged after the crash. The man was then struck by  another vehicle which officials do not have a description of yet.

Officials took the man to Palomar Hospital. He passed away from his injuries later that day. Part of Vista way was shut down while police were investigating. All lanes were open again by 7:00 a.m.
