Motorcyclist in Serious Condition after 3 Vehicle Crash in Escondido

Escondido, CA — A motorcyclist was seriously injured after he crashed into two other vehicles on Wednesday evening.

The collision happened around 4:40 pm on West Washington Avenue between Centre City Parkway and North Escondido Boulevard.

The motorcyclist drove eastbound and attempted to pass a Jetta. The Jetta began to merge into the center left-turn lane when the motorcyclist hit their side mirror and the front quarter panel of the car.

The motorcyclist then ran into the back of a Ford F-250 stopped on Washington Avenue attempting to make a left turn. The collision threw the rider off of his motorcycle and about 15 feet away from the truck. Police are still looking for the truck.

Medics transported the driver of the motorcycle to the hospital with critical injuries.
The truck is a white Ford F-250 between model years of 2000 and 2006. Possibly a single cab with two shovels standing in the bed area.

The driver is possibly a Hispanic man between the ages of 35 to 40 years old. He is wearing a gray t-shirt and baseball cap. A woman and a small child were also seen in the truck.
